The Vietnamese Community Centre (VCC) had its first service at the Youth Hall, Grace PJ on 4th March 2007 with a congregation of over 100 Vietnamese workers.
Our mission and vision is to bring them to Christ and then to disciple them to be leaders whereby they are able to start a home church with their family members and neighbours because there is no home church in most of the remote provinces that they come from. The Vietnamese Community Centre (VCC) had its first service at the Youth Hall, Grace PJ on 4th March 2007 with a congregation of over 100 Vietnamese workers.
Most of them have not heard of our Lord Jesus Christ before.
Bro Steven Lim is the Chairman of VCC and he is assisted by a team of TSOA alumni members assisting him. The team members voluntarily fetch the Vietnamese workers from their various homes in Kepong, Sg Buluh, Subang 2, Kota Damansara to church every Sunday evening. The team members also have the opportunity to preach and teach on Sundays, leading various cell groups at the Vietnamese workers' homes during the weekdays.
This ministry is very challenging and fruitful. We have many members who have returned to their homeland and shared with their family members the belief in our Lord Jesus Christ.
In January 2008 another Vietnamese ministry of about 50 Vietnamese workers was started in Balakong. This ministry is led by Sis Lan from the USA and is overlooked by Bro Steven.
