THE SIGNIFICANCE OF 9.9.9.- Part 1

Since the beginning of this year and especially the last few months, I have been speaking to all of you about the significance of the 9th day, 9th month (September) and the 9th year (2009). This significance has great bearing upon our community, our nation, Asia and the rest of the world. I have repeatedly pointed out that from the month of August onwards, there will be increased activity in the spirit realm and this heightened spirit activity will reach its peak on the 9th day of the 9th month of the 9th year and the effects will impact the rest of the year, the next year and even the years to come.

I want to stress here that we do not believe in numerology like the pagans do, where they harness and manipulate numbers for personal gain and benefit. No. Our God is above all of these things. He is a very great mathematician and he is precise and detailed. Take for instance the bible - the entire Old Testament was written mainly in Hebrew and the New Testament, in Greek. In the Hebrew and Greek languages, every alphabet is a number. So if you see the bible as alphabets, then you read. But if you see it as numbers, then you see Mathematics, you see Chemistry and you see Physics.

God is concerned with numbers. Jesus said the hairs on your head are all numbered. “Numbered” does not mean hair 1, hair 2, hair 3, and so on. He means every hair on your head has its own registration or identity number - just like your identity card. The house you stay and the car you drive have their own identity numbers. So does every hair on your head. That’s what Jesus meant. So if every hair on our head is numbered, we can see that God is specific about the exact times and seasons. So precise and specific is God that He determined that a woman, who has conceived must deliver on the 9th month. 9 is the number of maximum. Maximum blessings, maximum curses. It’s like a two-edged sword that is good as well as evil and this year, especially, you will witness the greatest blessings and the greatest curses that are happening in this world.

The months of August and September were a period of increased spirit activity involving the major religions of this world. On 19 August, the birthday of the Goddess of Mercy was celebrated for 15 days, not only in Malaysia but in Japan, China, North and South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Singapore, wherever there were yellow-skinned people. From 20 August, 4 billion Muslims all over the world observed Ramadan with fasting and prayers which lasted one month till 20 September. The popular Hindu deity, Ganesh, also known as the elephant god had his birthday celebrated on 23 August which lasted 14 days. On 3 September, the Chinese world observed 15 days of the Hungry Ghosts Festival where basically hungry devils and demons were “fed” and the visit of the ten-headed demon from hell was celebrated.
There was such demonic activity around us but sad to say, most of us were not even aware of what was happening. Almost every temple of all the different persuasions of faith was at a heightened time of activity - maximum activity. Satan knows how to exploit and harness significant moments in time for his destructive ends. At the time of heightened activity in the spirit realm, the world witnessed great upheavals in the skies, seas and lands.*

On the home-front, our nation is at the crossroads. What we do these weeks, months and years will determine whether Malaysia will become a goat nation or a sheep nation. It will determine whether God is exalted in this land or not. It is going to decide whether Malaysia will go out into light, liberty and freedom or be drawn back into the 6th or 7th century and bondage. Decisions are being made – politically and economically. Never in the history of Malaysia have there been such great opportunities and such great dangers.

At this juncture in Malaysian history, we could go either way because of 9.9.9.
The maximum 9 can mean maximum blessings or maximum judgments. The two-edged sword. And so people have to decide. We have to decide what we are going to choose. There will be good news for those who walk with God, who are sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is telling them to do, but those who choose to live in rebellion are going to go into greater confusion and trouble.

*In late September, two typhoons wreaked great devastation upon the Philippines, affecting Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. On 30 September, the South Pacific islands of Samoa, Tonga and American Samoa experienced an 8.0 magnitude earthquake that gave rise to a deadly tsunami. In West Sumatra, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake on 30 September caused massive loss of lives and property.
